Emission reduction and foreign direct investment nexus in China

چکیده
This paper employs a difference-in-difference-in-difference approach to examine the emission reduction and foreign direct investment nexus in China. It combines firm-level dataset with target statistics at city-level. The findings indicate that stringent environmental regulation is associated fall of output firms general shrinking pollution-intensive industries cities heavy pressure particular. also shown location choice changes as targets city-level vary. Finally it found helps improve structure hence contributes industrial upgrading economy.
